In-Charge Cabin Crew, In-Flight Services
Role Purpose:
The In-Charge Cabin Crew member is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to passengers while ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the flight. This role requires strict adherence to stipulated Company policies and regulatory standards governing in-flight operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consistently deliver excellent and superior in-flight service to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Ensure the safety of customers and manage cabin operations effectively, strictly adhering to the Safety Emergency Procedures Manual.
- Maintain a high level of personal discipline and adhere strictly to the Rules and Regulations for Cabin Crew.
- Uphold the required grooming standards as stipulated in the Cabin Crew Grooming Manual at all times.
- Be fully conversant with and knowledgeable of the responsibilities and duties outlined for Flight Steward/ess roles.
- Manage personal performance levels in accordance with outlined duties for Flight Steward/ess.
- Maintain a strong customer focus during all service delivery interactions.
- Report to the In-flight Supervisor and/or Leading Steward/ess on all matters concerning crew discipline, grooming, and performance level.
- Report to the In-flight Supervisor and Leading Steward/ess regarding all service matters across First, Business, and Economy Classes.
- Conform to set standards and requirements as stipulated in the Responsibilities and Duties of Flight Steward/ess.
- Submit all relevant documents where applicable.
- Ensure the safeguarding, proper handling, and stowage of all Company equipment under their charge.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or its equivalent as recognized by the Malaysian Government, with credits in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Age: 18 years and above.
- Minimum height of 157cm for female applicants.
- Minimum height of 165cm for male applicants.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Possesses good interpersonal and writing skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is essential; bilingualism is preferred.
- Exhibits exemplary qualities, including punctuality, dependability, and flexibility with scheduling.
- Able to understand and adhere to cabin crew operations, in-flight service standards, aviation policies, and regulations.
Working Environment:
This role can be demanding, requiring the crew member to manage tiredness and jet lag, especially when crossing different time zones. The work often involves spending significant time on feet in confined spaces and can be physically demanding, particularly on long-haul flights. Dealing with difficult passengers in an enclosed space can also be stressful. The role involves working with a diverse range of people from different backgrounds and cultures.
