Aviation Instructor - Train Future Lufthansa Group Pilots

An esteemed aviation organization is seeking a dedicated Aviation Instructor to join its team and contribute to the development of future pilots for the Lufthansa Group. Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be instrumental in training highly motivated individuals within the integrated ATP Course. This training will be conducted using state-of-the-art Fixed-Night-Pilots-Trainer (FNPT) simulators and Diamond DA42 training aircraft. The core duties include:

  • Delivering flight instruction in strict adherence to all applicable legal regulations and requirements, as well as internal directives from LAT PA personnel.
  • Ensuring comprehensive preparation for the safe execution of all flight training. A thorough pre-flight and post-flight briefing for each training lesson is mandatory.
  • Conducting precise assessments and grading of each training lesson to track student progress.
  • Maintaining flying qualifications and managing the renewal processes for flight licenses and ratings.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a Flight Instructor Rating and demonstrate extensive practical experience in training on piston engine aircraft. In addition, the following qualifications are essential:

  • Valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • EASA Commercial Pilot License (CPL(A)) with a valid Single-Engine Piston (SEP) rating and an associated Instrument Rating.
  • EASA Flight Instructor (FI(A)) rating, accompanied by at least a CPL, Single-Engine Piston (SEP) rating, and a night rating.
  • A minimum of 1000 total flight hours on aircraft.
  • A minimum of 500 Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) flight hours, with a maximum of 50 hours permitted in Full Flight Simulators (FFS) or FNPTs.

Furthermore, candidates should hold the following ratings:

  • Multi-Engine Piston (MEP) Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Instrument Rating (IR) with over 30 hours of experience.
  • Class Rating Instructor for Multi-Engine Piston (CRI MEP).
