Jetstar Japan is seeking experienced First Officers (FOs) to join their Airbus A320 fleet based out of Narita, Japan. These challenging opportunities are available to qualified A320 type-rated and non-type-rated pilots, with a preference for candidates holding a Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) licence.

Jetstar Japan (JJP) operates from its base in Narita, Japan, with a modern fleet of 24 Airbus A320 aircraft, with additional units on order.

The airline serves 24 routes across 14 domestic and international destinations, conducting over 100 flights daily.

This position offers a 3-year renewable contract.

Qualifications

Hold, or be eligible to hold, relevant Japanese permanent residency status or an unrestricted right to work in Japan.

Must hold a current Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) (ICAO/EASA/FAA).

Possess a current First Class Medical Certificate.

Achieved ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or above.

Pilots holding a Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) licence will be preferred, with or without an Airbus A320 type rating.

Pilots without a JCAB licence should hold an A320 type rating to be competitive, although applications from non-A320 type-rated pilots are still welcome.

For A320 Type-Rated Pilots:

Minimum 2,000 hours total flight time.

Minimum 1,000 hours on Airbus A320 family aircraft.

Minimum 250 hours Pilot in Command (PIC), or 180 hours Pilot in Command Under Supervision (PICUS) and 70 hours PIC.

For Non-Type-Rated Pilots:

Minimum 3,000 hours total flight time.

Minimum 1,000 hours jet time with a commercial airline.
