Jetstar Japan currently operates a modern fleet of 24 Airbus A320 aircraft, with additional aircraft on order. The Opportunity
These coveted First Officer positions are open to both Airbus A320 type-rated and non-type-rated pilots, with or without a Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) license. While candidates holding a JCAB license are preferred (regardless of A320 type rating), non-JCAB license holders will be highly competitive if they possess an A320 type rating. Non-A320 rated pilots are also encouraged to apply, underscoring Jetstar Japan's commitment to attracting diverse talent to its flight deck.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants for the Airbus A320 First Officer position must meet the following criteria. JCAB license holders are particularly welcome to apply.
For A320 Type Rated Pilots:
- Minimum 2,000 hours total flight time.
- Minimum 1,000 hours on the Airbus A320 family aircraft.
- Minimum 250 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC), or 180 hours PIC Under Supervision (PICUS) combined with 70 hours PIC.
For Non-Type Rated Pilots:
- Minimum 3,000 hours total flight time.
- Minimum 1,000 hours jet time with a commercial airline.
- Minimum 250 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC), or 180 hours PIC Under Supervision (PICUS) combined with 70 hours PIC.
General Requirements for All Applicants:
- Must hold, or be eligible to hold, relevant Japanese permanent residency status or an unrestricted right to work in Japan.
- Possession of a current Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) from ICAO, EASA, or FAA.
- Possession of a current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrated ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or above.
