Jetstar Japan invites applications for experienced and aspiring Airbus A320 First Officers to join its dynamic team based in Narita, Japan. Operating a modern fleet of 24 Airbus A320 aircraft, with further expansion planned, Jetstar Japan proudly serves 24 routes across 14 domestic and international destinations, conducting over 100 flights daily. This opportunity is extended to both A320 type-rated and non-type-rated pilots, with or without a Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) licence. Pilots holding a JCAB licence will be given preference, regardless of A320 type rating. Non-JCAB licence holders are encouraged to apply, with an A320 rating being advantageous for competitiveness, though non-A320 pilots are also welcome.

Requirements

Candidates for the First Officer position must meet the following stringent criteria. JCAB licence holders are particularly encouraged to apply.

General Eligibility Criteria:

• Must hold, or be eligible to hold, relevant Japanese permanent residency status or an unrestricted right to work in Japan.
• Possession of a current Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) from ICAO, EASA, or FAA.
• A valid First Class Medical Certificate.
• Demonstrated ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or above.

Specific Flight Experience Requirements:

For A320 Type Rated Pilots:

• Minimum 2,000 hours total flight time.
• Minimum 1,000 hours on Airbus A320 family aircraft.
• Minimum 250 hours Pilot In Command (PIC), or 180 hours Pilot In Command Under Supervision (PICUS) combined with 70 hours PIC.

For Non-Type Rated Pilots:

• Minimum 3,000 hours total flight time.
• Minimum 1,000 hours jet time with a commercial airline.
• Minimum 250 hours Pilot In Command (PIC), or 180 hours Pilot In Command Under Supervision (PICUS) combined with 70 hours PIC.
