Jetstar Japan Airbus A320 First Officer

Jetstar Japan is currently seeking Airbus A320 First Officers to join its flight operations team. Based in Narita, Japan, the airline operates a fleet of 24 Airbus A320 aircraft, with additional aircraft on order. The carrier currently services 24 routes across 14 domestic and international destinations, conducting more than 100 flights daily.

Position Overview

Opportunities are available for both A320 type-rated and non-type-rated pilots. While candidates holding a JCAB license are preferred (with or without an A320 type rating), applications are also accepted from pilots without a JCAB license. Non-JCAB applicants typically require an A320 rating to remain competitive, though non-A320 rated pilots are eligible to apply.

Contract and Benefits

• Contract Term: Three-year renewable contract.

Experience and Qualifications

All candidates must hold a current ATPL (ICAO/EASA/FAA), a current First Class Medical certificate, and ICAO English Level 4 or above. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to hold, relevant Japanese permanent residency status or an unrestricted right to work in Japan. JCAB license holders are strongly encouraged to apply.

A320 Type-Rated Pilots

• Minimum of 2,000 hours total flight time.
• Minimum of 1,000 hours on the A320 family.
• Minimum of 250 hours PIC, or a combination of 180 hours PICUS and 70 hours PIC.

Non-Rated Pilots

• Minimum of 3,000 hours total flight time.
• Minimum of 1,000 hours of jet time with a commercial airline.
• Minimum of 250 hours PIC, or a combination of 180 hours PICUS and 70 hours PIC.
