Test Pilot - F-35/T-50 (Level 5) - Fort Worth, TX
Lockheed Martin Flight Operations seeks an accomplished and energetic Test Pilot to join its team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the advancement of cutting-edge aerospace technology.
Responsibilities:
- Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) development: Contribute to the design and implementation of PVI systems for both the F-35 and T-50 aircraft.
- Requirements development and market assist: Define and refine technical requirements for PVI systems, supporting market analysis and customer interactions.
- Subject matter expert: Serve as a leading expert on all facets of the F-35 and T-50 aircraft, providing deep technical knowledge and guidance.
- Flight test leadership: Spearhead flight test planning, run card development, test execution, and reporting.
- Flight operations: Conduct a diverse range of flight missions including experimental, developmental, production, engineering flight test, test support, and customer demonstration flights.
Qualifications:
- FAA Certification: Hold a current FAA Commercial Pilot (SE Land, Instrument Airplane) or Airline Transport Pilot certificate.
- Medical Certification: Possess a current FAA Class I or II medical certificate.
- Flight Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 1,000 hours of first-pilot time in a tactical aircraft.
- Test Pilot School: Graduate from a recognized military or civilian Test Pilot School (TPS).
- Security Clearance: Hold an Interim SECRET or higher security clearance.
- Travel Requirements: Be willing to travel domestically and internationally, requiring a valid U.S. passport.
Desired Skills:
- F-35 Experience: Possess over 100 hours of flight experience in the F-35 aircraft.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrate comfort and proficiency in interacting with media and public relations professionals in front of a camera.
