About This Opportunity
L3Harris is actively seeking a highly qualified and experienced FAA ODA Flight Test Pilot Unit Member to join our esteemed ODA / Airworthiness Group. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the development and certification of groundbreaking aerospace technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct meticulous flight tests to ensure compliance with stringent FAA and Military Airworthiness standards.
- Skillfully operate a diverse range of test aircraft during experimental, engineering, and production acceptance flights.
- Execute precisely prescribed test maneuvers to gather critical data and validate aircraft performance.
- Collaborate effectively with the flight test team to plan, coordinate, and execute test flights efficiently.
- Showcase aircraft capabilities to discerning customers, government officials, and other stakeholders through expertly executed demonstration flights.
- Train and mentor company pilots, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and adherence to FAA regulations and DCMA guidance.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a distinguished Military Experimental Test Pilot School or possession of an FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) certification with a current eCOA.
- A Bachelor's degree coupled with a minimum of twelve (12) years of directly relevant flight test experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be thoughtfully considered.
- A valid Commercial Pilot's License with Single & Multi-Engine ratings is mandatory. An Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and 2000 hours of total flight time are essential requirements.
- Prior experience as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Instrument Flight Instructor (CFII), and Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in operating complex, jet, large transport, and high-performance aircraft is highly valued.
- A strong foundation in Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and GFR requirements.
- A demonstrated ability to master company standard operating procedures and policies.
- Due to the sensitive nature of our work, this position necessitates an active DoD Security Clearance with the ability to maintain it. U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite for consideration.
