Job Description:
L3Harris has an exciting opportunity to train pilots for our UK and European program in Sanford, FL. We are looking for motivated instructors who are interested in learning something new and delivering world class flight instruction.
If successful, L3Harris will enroll you in a 6 week training course to learn the differences between the US and UK/European program. An FCL900(c) License will be issued allowing you to instruct for the UK CAA / EASA. Ongoing training will be given throughout your time as an instructor. Due to the investment in training, we are looking for candidates that are able to instruct for a minimum of 1000hrs or 1 year continuous service to the UK program. Opportunities for promotion into Instrument and Multi Engine training are available. Once qualified, you will receive an increased hourly rate for the UK program.
Essential Functions:
+ Provide instruction on aircraft systems, training maneuvers, procedures, and other flight related subjects both on the ground and in the aircraft during a flight
+ Conduct preflight/post flight debriefings and provide in-flight instruction to ensure students have a thorough understanding and comprehension of the training materials
+ Deliver long briefings and relevant theoretical knowledge instruction to groups of student pilots as required.
+ Support the CFI by ensuring effective and on-time delivery of all flight training activities in accordance with the approved syllabi.
+ See that all Academy goals are met, including pass rate, timely student completion, student flight hour limitations, timely completion of student’s training records, and making recommendations to the Group Manager for corrective action to be taken when issues arise
+ Regularly schedule each assigned student to ensure progress through the course
+ Maintain the flight training standards as outlined by both FAA and L3 Airline Academy
+ Maintain policies and procedures of the Operations Manual
+ Ensure that the assigned student’s training record and folder is tracked and updated in accordance with L3 Airline Academy and FAA policy
+ Provide a customer service oriented and professional instruction according to L3 Airline Academy policy
+ Must be able to work a full-time schedule, 5 days per week with schedule flexibility
+ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
+ Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor Certificate
+ Current CFII Certificate
+ 100+ hours of dual
+ Associate’s Degree or 2-4 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
+ Graduated from L3Harris Flight Academy within the last 12 months.
+ Existing UK CAA / EASA FCL900(c) License. Increased remuneration package available for those already holding this License.
