First Officer Position – Boeing 747-400F – Martinair Cargo

Job Summary:

Martinair Cargo, a KLM operating carrier, seeks highly skilled and motivated First Officers to join its Boeing 747-400F fleet based at Schiphol Airport. Martinair Cargo operates a fleet of four Boeing 747-400F full-freighter aircraft from Schiphol, specializing in the transport of diverse cargo including flowers, pharmaceuticals, horses, and specialized freight. The company, operating under a KLM contract, serves primarily South America and Africa, with a planned transition to an Airbus A350F fleet commencing in 2026. The First Officer will conduct flights under the Martinair Cargo banner, adhering strictly to safety protocols and fostering a secure working environment. Position Details:

Employment will be with KLM, working within the Martinair Cargo operation. The successful candidate will commence as a First Officer on the Boeing 747-400F, with opportunities to participate in supplementary roles, such as instructor or office-based functions.

Candidate Profile:

General Requirements:

• Minimum HAVO diploma (or equivalent foreign qualification) including English, mathematics, and physics.
• European passport.
• Height between 1.58 and 2.03 meters (leg length measurement not required).
• Excellent Dutch language skills (non-native speakers must possess a B2-level European Framework of Reference for Languages certificate).
• Clean criminal record.
• No restrictions on international travel.
• Preference given to candidates with flight training from KFA, NLS, CAE, EPST, MFA, or a Military Pilot License (MPL-A) from the Royal Netherlands Air Force/Navy.

Licenses, Certificates, and Experience:

• EASA ATPL or frozen ATPL.
• EASA Class I medical certificate (unrestricted).
• LPE English level 6.
• Radiotelephony (RT) license.
• Valid Instrument Rating for multi-engine aeroplanes IR(A) – ME.
• EASA MCC certificate.
• Valid type rating on a multi-pilot aeroplane.
• PBN training.
• Minimum flight hours and experience requirements (details omitted for brevity).
• UPRT training.
• No history of aviation incidents/accidents.

Compensation and Benefits:
