Etihad Airways is seeking experienced and qualified First Officers to join its A320 fleet. An assessment event is scheduled to take place in London Gatwick, providing an excellent opportunity for pilots based in the region to explore a career with the national airline of the UAE. Future assessment events in other locations will be announced subsequently.

What We Offer

The potential exists to earn up to 513,732 AED (USD 138,318) tax-free per annum, based on 75 hours of flying per month. Annual salary increments are based on performance. The Role

The First Officer plays a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting flights in compliance with the current flight plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the Captain's instructions when not at the controls.
• Notifying the Captain of any change to the current flight plan, Air Traffic Control instructions, or geographical position upon their return to controls.
• Assisting the Captain with any administrative duties related to the flight as requested.
• Confirming the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining a continuous and independent check upon the geographical position of the aircraft to ensure safe terrain and weather clearance.
• Maintaining high personal standards of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of Etihad Airways at all times.

What You’ll Bring

To be considered for the role of First Officer, candidates must meet the following essential criteria:

• A minimum of 2500 hours total flying time.
• A minimum of 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit (aircraft with a Flight Management System coupled to an Auto Pilot Flight Director System) or high-performance military jet aircraft.
• 500 hours specifically on one of the A320 Family aircraft types.
• Experience flying any Airbus Fly-By-Wire aircraft within the last 12 months.
• A valid A320 type rating with a minimum validity of 2 months at the time of joining.
• A current and unrestricted ICAO Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL). Frozen ATPLs are not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen.
• Currently type-rated and operating on the A320 aircraft.
• An unrestricted, current Class 1 medical certificate.
• Maximum age limit of 50 years old at the time of application.
• English Language Fluency (written and verbal) Level 4 or better.
• For hours accumulated on flights with inflight relief, 75% of the total hours shall be counted towards the required minimums.
