First Officer A320

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is seeking qualified and experienced Pilots to join its team as First Officers on the Airbus A320 fleet. The Role

The First Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient conduct of flights. Key responsibilities include:

Operating the aircraft in compliance with the current flight plan, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the Captain's instructions when not at the controls.
Notifying the Captain of any changes to the current flight plan, Air Traffic Control (ATC) instructions, or geographical position upon their return to the controls.
Assisting the Captain with administrative duties related to the flight as required.
Confirming the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining continuous and independent checks on the aircraft's geographical position, ensuring safe terrain and weather clearance.
Maintaining a high personal standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of Etihad Airways at all times.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

A minimum of 2500 hours total flying time.
A minimum of 1500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit (aircraft with an FMS coupled to APFDS), or high-performance military jet aircraft.
A minimum of 500 hours on the Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
Experience flying any Airbus Fly-by-Wire (FBW) aircraft within the last 12 months.
Type rating on the A320 must be valid for a minimum of 2 months at the time of joining.
Hold a current and unrestricted ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL). Frozen ATPL is not accepted unless held by a UAE citizen.
Current on the A320 aircraft.
Hold an unrestricted, current Class 1 medical certificate.
Maximum age limit of 50 years at the time of application.
Demonstrated English Language Fluency (written and verbal) equivalent to Level 4 or higher.
For hours accumulated on flights with in-flight relief, 75% of the total hours will count towards the required minimums.

What We Offer

Etihad Airways offers a competitive annual compensation package, which includes basic salary, flying pay, a housing allowance, and layover and meal allowances. There is the potential to earn up to 513,732 AED (approximately USD 138,318) tax-free per annum based on 75 hours of flying per month. Annual salary increments are based on performance.
