A330 Captain
Jet Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced A330 Captain to join its Flight Services Team based in Hong Kong. The Captain is responsible for supporting aircraft operations, upholding the highest standards of flight safety and operational procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing exceptional professional service to clients. This pivotal role reports directly to the Director Flight Operations, specifically overseeing operations of the A330 fleet based in Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures the safety and security of all crew members, passengers, and cargo onboard.
- Adheres strictly to all operational procedures and checklists in accordance with the provisions of the Operations Manual (FOM).
- Verifies that all crew members are at their designated stations prior to take-off, final approach, and landing.
- Prohibits any crew member from performing activities during critical flight phases (take-off, initial climb, final approach, landing) other than those essential for the safe operation of the aircraft.
- Prevents the disabling or erasure of flight data and/or cockpit voice recorders, unless data conservation is required for incident/accident investigation and would otherwise face automatic erasure.
- Coordinates workload distribution within the flight crew to ensure optimal airmanship during flight operations.
- Maintains precise navigation and adheres to minimum safe altitudes.
- Observes the limitations of all aircraft systems and ensures the proper use and handling of the aircraft.
- Enforces the strict and disciplined use of checklists.
- Confirms that sufficient usable fuel remains to reach a safe landing airport, retaining the final reserve fuel.
- Maintains close liaison with cabin crew to ensure all cabin safety requirements are met.
- Ensures the accurate and complete documentation of flight and technical logs.
- Prepares and files written occurrence and accident reports when necessary.
- Maintains thorough familiarity with relevant aviation regulations, the JBJH/JBJS operations manual, and established aviation practices necessary for fulfilling the role effectively.
- Upholds a high standard of discipline, professional conduct, and appearance as a representative of the company.
- Complies with all regulations stipulated in the Operations Manual (FOM) and the Air Navigation Order (ANO).
- Ensures all passengers receive a comprehensive briefing on the location of emergency exits and the location and proper use of relevant safety and emergency equipment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possession of a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a current type rating for the A330 aircraft (FAA, UK, or EASA licenses are accepted).
- A minimum of 500 hours of flight experience on the A330 type.
