Position Summary
The First Officer is a critical member of the Flight Services team, directly reporting to and supporting the Pilot-In-Command (PIC) assigned to the flight. This role is essential for maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency for the Dassault Falcon 900EX.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
The First Officer executes a broad range of operational and security functions, including, but not limited to:
- Supporting the Pilot-In-Command to ensure the safe and efficient conduct of all flights.
- Maintaining a complete and comprehensive working knowledge of all authorized aircraft systems, including all emergency systems and procedures associated with the aircraft type.
- Ensuring strict compliance with company-wide reporting protocols and promptly reporting any hazardous events or incidents.
- Proactively developing the essential leadership skills, technical ability, knowledge, and sound judgment required for eventual qualification as a Pilot-In-Command.
- Obtaining the most current and accurate weather reports, forecasts, and Notice to Airmen (NOTAMS) from approved authorized agencies or FAA flight service stations.
- Analyzing area, en route, and terminal charts for the airport of intended landing and any designated alternates.
- Filing or causing a flight plan to be filed with the FAA or the appropriate ICAO state Air Traffic Control (ATC) facility.
- Executing the required functions of the In-TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under the provisions of the applicable twelve-five standard security program or private charter standard security program.
- Conducting all required passenger safety briefings prior to departure.
- Securing the aircraft after each flight, including arranging hangar storage when necessary or when instructed by company management.
- Representing Jet Aviation as a unified entity both internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the Pilot-In-Command.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following mandatory requirements to be considered for this position:
- Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP) with the appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) First Class Medical Certificate.
- A minimum of 2,500 hours Total Fixed Wing flight time.
- A minimum of 500 hours Multi-Engine Fixed Wing flight time.
- A minimum of 500 hours Pilot-in-Command Fixed Wing flight time.
- A minimum of 100 hours Turbojet flight time.
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant aviation experience.
- Must be willing and able to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide without restriction.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Specific required vision capabilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The work environment requires the employee to navigate and operate effectively in both a heavy maintenance setting and upscale customer areas. While the noise level is usually moderate, employees must be prepared for occasional high volume when aircraft arrive or depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration, and occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Personnel must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The hangar environment may experience extreme fluctuations in temperature (hot and cold) during different seasons of the year.
