Pilot in Command - Part 135 Operations
Jet Aviation, a global leader in aviation services since 1967, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command to join our team. This crucial role, operating under Part 135 regulations, demands a commitment to safety, efficiency, and the highest standards of professional conduct. The successful candidate will command all assigned flights, serving as the final authority for safe operation and ensuring a seamless experience for our clientele. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $260,000.00 to $300,000.00 (regional location dependent, excluding premiums).
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing Flight Time.
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land Flight Time.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command Time.
- 1500 hours Turbojet Flight Time.
- 1500 hours Turbine Flight Time.
- 100 hours Night Flight Time.
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument Flight Time.
- 5 years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide without restriction.
- Valid driver's license.
Main Responsibilities:
The Pilot in Command will be responsible for:
- Safe and compliant aircraft operation, including flight planning, departure time determination, and flight cancellation decisions based on weather or other operational considerations.
- Adherence to all applicable federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Implementation of necessary in-flight adjustments to maintain flight safety within company guidelines.
- Conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner, adhering to industry best practices and company standards.
- Accurate and timely completion of all flight documentation according to established procedures.
- Ensuring complete communication and briefing with the Second in Command on all flight aspects.
- Reporting and documenting aircraft discrepancies, working with maintenance personnel to address issues as per company protocols.
- Verifying that the flight crew is appropriately attired and fit for duty.
- Maintaining thorough knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency procedures.
- Securing the aircraft post-flight, including arranging hangar storage as needed.
- Obtaining up-to-date weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMs from authorized sources.
- Filing flight plans with appropriate authorities (FAA or ICAO).
- Analyzing charts for the intended destination and alternate airports.
- Performing the duties of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Flight Security Coordinator (FSC) as applicable.
- Conducting or assigning passenger safety briefings.
- Mentoring and training the Second in Command in preparation for Pilot in Command responsibilities.
- Timely submission of pre-departure and end-of-day reports.
- Active participation in safety reporting and hazard identification.
- Immediate reporting of any safety concerns or hazardous events to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Representing Jet Aviation internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and partners.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
