Position Summary
Reporting to the Lead Captain, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all assigned flights, prioritizing safety, security, and quality. This role demands a strong leader who will confidently exercise Pilot in Command authority, ensuring the well-being of all onboard.
Minimum Requirements
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating
- Current FAA First Class Medical
- 4,000 hours Total Fixed Wing time
- 1,500 hours Multi-Engine Land time
- 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command time
- 1,500 hours Turbojet time
- 1,500 hours Turbine time
- 100 hours Night time
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument time
- 5 years of aviation experience
- Flexible schedule and willingness to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions
- Valid driver's license
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate the aircraft, making informed decisions regarding departure times, routes, and potential flight cancellations based on weather and operational factors.
- Guarantee all flights adhere to federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Implement necessary adjustments during flight based on en route conditions, ensuring compliance with company protocols.
- Maintain industry and company standards in all flight operations, prioritizing safety and prudence.
- Diligently complete all trip paperwork according to current procedures.
- Ensure clear and comprehensive communication with the Second in Command regarding all aspects of the flight.
- Meticulously document aircraft discrepancies, promptly reporting them to the Director of Maintenance.
- Confirm flight crew attire and physical and mental fitness for duty.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage as needed.
- Obtain and analyze current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMs.
- File flight plans with FAA or ICAO state ATC facilities.
- Perform In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) functions as required.
- Conduct passenger safety briefings or delegate to the Second in Command.
- Mentor and train the Second in Command, preparing them for Pilot in Command responsibilities.
- Complete and submit leg manifests and End of Day (EOD) reports.
- Actively participate in safety initiatives, reporting all hazards and concerns.
- Immediately report any hazardous actions, conduct, or events.
- Represent Jet Aviation professionally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
