Captain, Challenger 350 and Gulfstream 650

Position Summary:
The Captain reports to the Lead Captain and is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of all flight assignments, adhering to the highest standards of safety, security, and quality. As the Pilot in Command, the Captain exercises ultimate authority for the safe execution of each flight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft, determining departure times and routes, and/or canceling flights based on weather or other conditions.
- Ensure strict adherence to all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures during every flight.
- Institute necessary changes in flight plans based on en route conditions to maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and rules.
- Conduct all flights in a safe and prudent manner, following industry and company standards.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
- Maintain a thorough and complete understanding with the Second in Command regarding all aspects of the flight.
- Record all aircraft discrepancies on the aircraft discrepancy log and immediately report them to the Director of Maintenance or their designee.
- Ensure the flight crew reports for duty in proper attire and is mentally and physically fit for duty.
- Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, including arranging hangar storage as deemed necessary or instructed by company management.
- Obtain the most current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMs from authorized agencies.
- File or cause a flight plan to be filed with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts for the airport of intended landing and alternates.
- Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under the provisions of the twelve-five standard security program or private charter standard security program, as applicable.
- Conduct required passenger safety briefings or assign this duty to the Second in Command.
- Impart knowledge and skills to the Second in Command to prepare them to assume the duties of Pilot in Command in an emergency or upon their upgrade.
- Complete and send the leg manifest to Operations Control prior to each departure.
- Complete and send the End of Day (EOD) report to Operations Control upon completion of each flight day.
- Actively support the open sharing of information on all safety issues and report all safety hazards and concerns.
- Immediately report any hazardous action, conduct, or event to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Delegate duties as necessary while retaining ultimate responsibility for all tasks.
- Represent Jet Aviation as a unified company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4,000 hours Total Fixed Wing Experience.
- 1,500 hours Multi-Engine Land Experience.
- 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command Experience.
- 1,500 hours Turbojet Experience.
- 1,500 hours Turbine Time.
- 100 hours Night Experience.
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument Experience.
- 5 years of aviation experience.

Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
- Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

- Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and upscale customer areas.
- Noise levels are typically moderate with occasional high volume during aircraft arrivals/departures.
- Frequent exposure to vibration.
- Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace.
- Willingness and ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
- The hangar environment can be extremely hot or cold during certain seasons.
