Captain - Global Express XRS (Burbank, CA)

Position Summary:
The Captain, reporting to the Lead Captain, is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned Global Express XRS flights. With a primary focus on safety, security, and quality, the Captain exercises ultimate authority for the flight's safe conduct.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4,000 hours of total fixed-wing flight experience.
- 1,500 hours of multi-engine land flight experience.
- 2,000 hours of pilot-in-command experience.
- 1,500 hours of turbojet flight experience.
- 1,500 hours of turbine flight experience.
- 100 hours of night flight experience.
- 75 hours of actual or simulated instrument flight experience.
- 5 years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.
- Valid driver's license.
Main Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft, determining departure times and routes, and/or canceling flights based on weather or other conditions.
- Ensure full compliance with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures during flight.
- Implement necessary changes as required by en route conditions, maintaining adherence to company policies, procedures, and rules.
- Conduct flights in a safe and prudent manner, adhering to industry and company standards.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
- Ensure thorough communication with the Second-in-Command regarding all aspects of flight.
- Record all aircraft discrepancies on the aircraft discrepancy log and promptly report them to the Director of Maintenance or their designee. Determine, in consultation with the DOM or designee, if inoperative items can be deferred or require immediate repair, and complete the aircraft discrepancy log accordingly.
- Verify that flight crew members report for duty in proper attire and are mentally and physically fit for duty.
- Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage as needed or instructed by company management.
- Obtain current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMs from FAA flight service stations or authorized agencies.
- File or initiate the filing of a flight plan with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analyze area, en route, and terminal charts for the intended landing airport and alternates.
- Perform the functions of the TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under the provisions of the 125 Standard Security Program or Private Charter Standard Security Program as applicable.
- Conduct passenger safety briefings or assign that duty to the Second-in-Command.
- Train and mentor the Second-in-Command, preparing them to assume the duties of Pilot-in-Command in an emergency or upon promotion.
- Complete and submit the leg manifest to Operations Control prior to each departure.
- Complete and submit the End-of-Day (EOD) report to Operations Control upon completion of each flight day.
- Actively participate in the open sharing of information on all safety issues, reporting any safety hazards or concerns.
- Report any hazardous actions, conduct, or events immediately to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Delegate specific duties as needed, but retain full responsibility for those duties.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
- Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally, engaging with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
