B737NG/Max 8 Captain - Hong Kong
Our Flight Services team is seeking a qualified and experienced B737NG/Max 8 Captain to support aircraft operations based in Hong Kong. The Captain is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of flight safety and operational procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing professional service to clients. This role reports to the Director of Flight Operations, specifically for B737 fleets.
Description/Tasks:
- Ensures the safety of all crew members, passengers, and cargo onboard.
- Ensures that all operational procedures and checklists are followed in accordance with the provisions of the Operations Manual (FOM).
- Ensures that all crew members occupy their designated stations prior to take-off, final approach, and landing.
- Refrains from permitting any crew member to perform activities during take-off, initial climb, final approach, and landing, except for duties required for the safe operation of the aircraft.
- Prohibits the disabling or erasure of any flight data and/or cockpit voice recorder, unless data needs to be conserved for the investigation of an incident or accident and would otherwise automatically be erased.
- Coordinates work distribution within the flight crew to optimize airmanship for the conduct of the flight.
- Ensures precise navigation and adherence to minimum altitudes.
- Observes the limitations of all aircraft systems and ensures the proper use and handling of the aircraft.
- Enforces the strict use of checklists.
- Ensures that the amount of usable fuel remaining is sufficient to proceed to an airport where a safe landing can be made, with final reserve fuel remaining.
- Maintains close contact with the cabin crew to ensure that all requirements concerning cabin safety are being followed.
- Ensures that the flight and technical logs are completed accurately.
- Files written occurrence and accident reports if necessary.
- Maintains familiarity with relevant aviation regulations, JBJH/JBJS operations manual, and agreed aviation practices to fulfill the role's function.
- Maintains a high standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of the company.
- Complies with the regulations outlined in the Operations Manual (FOM) and the Air Navigation Order (ANO).
- Ensures that all passengers are briefed on the location of emergency exits and the location and use of relevant safety and emergency equipment.
Qualification/Experience:
- Must hold a current type rating on the Boeing B737NG/ Max 8.
- Minimum of 500 hours on type.
- Willing to relocate to Hong Kong.
