Bilingual Flight Attendant

Jazz is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bilingual Flight Attendant to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to embark on a rewarding aviation career with a competitive salary of $34.80 per flight hour. Comprehensive paid training is provided, eliminating the need for prior flight attendant experience.

The position is based in Vancouver, though relocation allowances are not provided. However, upon hire, the Flight Attendant will have the flexibility to transfer or exchange bases between Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal.

This individual will be a brand ambassador for Air Canada, operating under the Air Canada Express banner. Each journey presents an opportunity to deliver memorable experiences to Air Canada and Jazz passengers. Flight Attendants explore diverse North American cities during layovers, enjoying comfortable accommodations, while interacting with passengers from unique backgrounds. Responsibilities

As an Air Canada Express and Jazz brand ambassador, this individual will:

  • Ensure the safe and efficient transport of passengers.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming and comfortable onboard environment.

Safety is paramount at Jazz, recognized as one of Canada's safest employers. As a Flight Attendant, they will:

  • Prioritize safety and offer leadership, direction, and assistance to passengers and colleagues.
  • Execute all pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight duties in compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations, IOSA Standards, and Company Standard Operation Procedures and Policies.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making abilities in emergency situations.

Fluency in both English and French is preferred to provide bilingual service to passengers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, with French proficiency preferred.
  • Must hold Canadian citizenship or Permanent Resident status and the ability to travel outside of Canada without restrictions.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service or public-facing experience (e.g., teacher, nurse, administration).
  • Must be 6'1" (185 cm) or shorter.
  • Must possess a current valid passport with at least six months validity at time of hire.
  • If a Permanent Resident, they must be able to obtain and maintain necessary crew visa documentation for US travel.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card upon employment.
  • Must successfully complete Jazz's Initial Flight Attendant Training Program (approximately 6 weeks in duration).
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude and work effectively unsupervised.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have a high sense of ethics and respect for diversity.
