General Summary:

This Corporate Flight Operations Pilot position will act as the lead pilot on managed HondaJet HA-420 aircraft. The position requires the candidate to be located within commuting distance of KLGB. In addition to initial indoctrination there will also be temporary, short-term assignments to Headquarters in Greensboro, NC to support additional Honda corporate flight operations. In addition to flight duties, the lead pilot will also be responsible for coordination of local resources and maintenance activities to ensure readiness of the aircraft for planned missions.

Total Rewards:

  • Competitive Base Salary: $140,000 to $170,000
    Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Operate assigned HondaJet aircraft in a safe manner and efficient manner.
  2. Adhere to FAA regulations and company policies and procedures.
  3. Plan and conduct corporate flight operations as Pilot in Command or Second in Command including single-pilot operations.
  4. Complete trip and other reports.
  5. Ensure readiness of assigned aircraft including cleanliness and catering.
  6. Coordinate with local maintenance resources for unscheduled maintenance activities.
  7. Manage local resources and facilities.
  8. Other administrative duties assigned by Chief Pilot - Corporate Flight Operations.

Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:

  1. FAA Commercial multi-engine land with instrument rating and minimum:
    1. 2,000 hours PIC total time
    2. 1,000 hours turbine aircraft time
    3. 500 hours PIC turbine aircraft time
  2. FAA Class II Medical Certification
  3. Minimum 3 years corporate flight experience
  4. Single pilot type rating desired
  5. A&P license desired

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments and organizations.
  2. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Organized, self-motivated and service oriented. Attention to detail.
  4. Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
  5. Single pilot turbine experience is desired

Physical Requirements:

  1. Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.
  2. Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
  3. Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
  4. Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
  5. Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
  6. Effectively communicate in Business English language.
  7. Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
  8. Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided “reach assistance technology” or “movement assist technology” (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly’s, robotics reach equipment, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
