Gridiron Air, a FAR Part 121 Supplemental Air Carrier specializing in customized flight solutions utilizing its fleet of Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, is seeking a qualified First Officer. Based at AFW, Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport, in Fort Worth, Texas, the company is dedicated to delivering exceptional safety, hospitality, and operational excellence within the charter market. This role requires flexibility to support business needs, including evening and weekend availability.
The First Officer (FO) serves as the Second-in-Command (SIC) for each flight. In this capacity, the FO is responsible for complying with all regulations and directives governing flight operations, as directed by the Captain. Administratively, the FO reports to the Chief Pilot (CP), and functionally reports to the Captain of the flight. The First Officer will ensure all operations adhere to Company-approved manuals, OpSpecs, 14 CFR, FAA Orders, ADs, ACs, and manufacturer recommendations. This includes managing administrative programs, maintaining compliance with flight time limitations and currency requirements, ensuring pilot appearance and conduct align with company policy, and promptly reporting any discrepancies that may affect safety or regulatory compliance. The FO may be assigned to direct crew members in a safe and efficient manner.
The work environment primarily consists of an office setting. Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions, including wet/humid conditions and extreme temperatures, may occur. When working outside the office, the noise level can be loud. Occasional travel may be required (less than 10%).
