F-35B Lightning Instructor Pilot
An exceptional opportunity exists for a highly experienced and qualified individual to serve as an F-35B Lightning Instructor Pilot. The successful candidate will provide high-quality training and instruction to F-35B Lightning squadron pilots. He or she will maintain familiarity with Lightning tactics and doctrine, conduct ground school training according to defined syllabi, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for technical systems. He or she will also provide pilot-specific synthetic training using simulators, support Instructor Pilots at the Instructor Operator Station (IOS), and offer expert advice on training syllabi, mission scenarios, and tactics.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 500 hours as Pilot in Command (P1) in an operational fast jet (FJ) aircraft.
- Qualified Flying, Pilot, Weapons, or Electronic Warfare Instructor experience.
- Experience as a pairs lead.
- Minimum of 12 years of professional military experience.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Previous F-35 experience.
- Expertise in air-to-air or multi-role operations.
- 1000 hours as P1 in an operational FJ aircraft.
- Recent flying experience in a theatre of operations.
- Four-ship lead qualification.
- Experience in Electronic Warfare/SEAD/DEAD.
- Experience instructing on an Operational Conversion Unit (OCU) or FJ Training Squadron.
- Recent White Force experience.
