Guardian Flight, part of Global Medical Response (GMR), is seeking dedicated and skilled Fixed Wing Pilots to join its team. The company is immediately hiring for full-time opportunities, including a specific opening for a Fixed Wing King Air C90 Pilot based in Las Vegas, NV.

About the Role:

A Fixed Wing Pilot with Guardian Flight is responsible for providing safe and reliable medical air transportation services. This role involves operating aircraft such as the King Air C90 and Pilatus planes to transport patients and medical teams to and from various locations and facilities. Pilots work on a 7/7 schedule, supporting both day and night missions, and are integral members of a professional team committed to the highest safety standards for crew and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • The Fixed Wing Pilot is tasked with ensuring aircraft readiness for flight dispatches in accordance with all FAR and company requirements, which includes maintaining aircraft cleanliness.
  • The pilot must accurately maintain company and regulatory documentation and record-keeping, including logs and load manifests.
  • Effective communication and collaboration are essential, requiring interaction with air and ground dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
  • Pilots are responsible for providing thorough shift change information to transitioning personnel and adhering to company change board protocols.
  • Continuous accountability for maintaining required certifications and participating in ongoing ground and air training is paramount.
  • The pilot will work closely with a team of medical experts to ensure the safe transport of customers.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Commercial Airplane Multi Engine Land (MEL) Rating is required.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate within 5 years of employment.
  • Possession of a current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate is mandatory.
  • A valid and unexpired driver's license is required.
  • Minimum flight experience requirements:
    • 2,500 total flight hours
    • 2,000 fixed wing hours
    • 1,000 Pilot in Command (PIC) hours
    • 500 cross country hours
    • 100 night hours
    • 75 instrument hours (50 actual)

Working Conditions:

Pilots are required to work in outside weather conditions. This may involve duties such as deicing the aircraft, assisting with towing and maneuvering the aircraft in and out of the hangar, and preparing the plane for flight.

Physical Demands:

The role requires physical activities including standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Pilots may assist with loading patients, which involves a lifting requirement of up to 70 lbs. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation and Benefits (Las Vegas, NV specific):

  • Starting wage range: $106,836.09 - $117,633.55
  • $15,000 sign-on bonus upon successful completion of training/checkride (no training contract).
  • $40,000 retention bonus (applicable after a 6-month waiting period as part of a 3-year program).
  • $3,000 relocation assistance.
  • Company-paid crew housing.
