Reporting to the Director of Flight Operations, the Chief Pilot is responsible for piloting a Boeing 737. The flights entail flying equipment and staff from Toronto, Montreal, Quebec and Rouyn-Noranda to the client.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Technical Studies Diploma in Aviation and/or ...
* Transport Canada ATPL combined with 10 to 15
years of experience.

* Minimum 1 year of experience as a Captain of
an airplane in the weight group (more or less
than 100,000lbs;)

* Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (airplanes),
* Valid Group 1 Multi-Engine Instrument Rating
* Valid CAT 1 Medical
* VHF radio operator’s certificate
* Intensive knowledge of jet aircraft operations is required

More Information:

The academic requirements for this job are a Technical Studies Diploma in Aviation and/or an Airline Transport Pilot License combined with 10 to 15 years of experience. The incumbent most also have at least 1 year of experience as a pilot-in-command of an airplane in the weight group (more or less than 100,000lbs;

To occupy this job, the incumbent must hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (airplanes), a valid Instrument Rating appropriate for a group of airplanes and for a Boeing 737-200 type rating, a class one medical and a VHF radio operator’s certificate. Intensive knowledge of jet aircraft operations is required. The incumbent must also be qualified for line flying on a Boeing 737-200 type rating and demonstrate knowledge to the Company with respect to the content of the Operations Manual,

Training Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, Check Pilot Manual and the provisions of the regulations and standards necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position;

Specific knowledge in aircraft avionics systems, aircraft weight and balance on Microsoft Office, cockpit resource management techniques, thorough knowledge of aircraft operations in a self-dispatch aviation department and experience in gravel runway operations in arctic weather conditions are mandatory. The incumbent does not have a direct responsibility regarding the planning and management of an operational budget, neither of the inventories;

The position requires excellent communication, planning and organizational skills and the ability to work as a team in a multicultural context. Also, the ability of working in a dynamic environment, the ability to deal with schedule and operations changes when required and skills in decision-making are required. It is not essential to be bilingual.
