Position Summary
The Pilot in Command (PIC) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned aircraft, ensuring full compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), company policies, and operational procedures. Serving as the final authority on all decisions regarding the aircraft and its operation, the PIC manages flight preparation, crew coordination, risk management, and passenger service with a focus on technical excellence and safety leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Flight Operations:
Act as the final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft on all assigned flights, ensuring adherence to FAA regulations and company manuals.

Pre-flight Planning:
Conduct comprehensive pre-flight planning, including weather analysis, performance calculations, routing, fuel planning, and airworthiness verification.

Crew Resource Management (CRM):
Facilitate effective crew coordination and communication to foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and safety.

Passenger Service:
Deliver high-level customer service, ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers while addressing special requests.

Safety Management:
Proactively engage in the Safety Management System (SMS), utilizing risk analysis tools to mitigate hazards and participating in audits.

Mentorship & Leadership:
Provide guidance to First Officers and flight crew members, supporting their professional growth and operational effectiveness.

Post-flight Duties:
Complete accurate trip reports, logbook entries, and operational documentation, while reporting equipment issues to maintenance.

Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain currency with training, medical certifications, and FAA requirements.
Qualifications
Flight Experience

Minimum 3,000 total flight hours.

1,500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).

1,000 hours multi-engine land, including 500 hours as multi-engine PIC.
Certifications

Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with multi-engine land rating (Required).

Current First-Class Medical Certificate (Required).

FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit (Preferred).
Skills & Experience

Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, flight planning, and safety management systems.

Excellent communication and leadership skills with sound decision-making capabilities under pressure.

Proficiency in flight planning and aviation management software.

Previous experience in Part 135 operations (Highly desirable).
