FlySafair is seeking qualified candidates for pilot positions. The ideal applicant possesses a minimum of 1500 hours total flight time, including 500 hours of multi-engine experience and 500 hours of turbine time. Furthermore, the candidate should have 500 hours of multi-turbine flight time and multi-crew experience. While a type rating is not required, training will be provided.
Preference will be given to candidates holding a SACAA ATPL, type rated on Boeing aircraft, and possessing experience on commercial jets exceeding 20 tons. A current CPL, IR, and ME license, issued by SACAA, is required along with a Class 1 medical certificate and an ICAO English Language Proficiency level of 4.
Applicants must hold a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification and be willing to sign applicable training bonds. They must have no criminal record, be willing to undergo drug and alcohol testing, and possess their own transportation and a valid RSA Driver’s License. A valid passport is also required. Candidates must be prepared to work irregular hours on a roster. Detailed knowledge and understanding of National Aviation Regulations such as SACAA and ICAO, including knowledge of Doc 8186, is essential, as is a familiarity with Commercial and Airline Transport Pilots licensing content.
