FlySafair is seeking experienced First Officers to join its Boeing 737 Next Generation (B737NG) fleet, operating from various bases in South Africa. This role involves ensuring flight safety, system monitoring, and adherence to regulatory standards, reporting to the Fleet Captain.
About the Role
The First Officer will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the B737NG aircraft. This position requires a commitment to regulatory compliance and a proactive approach to flight operations. The role operates on an irregular roster.
Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.

South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) Commercial Pilot License (CPL) is essential.

SACAA Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is preferred.

Valid Class 1 SACAA Medical Certificate is essential.

Type rating on Boeing aircraft is advantageous.

Experience on Commercial Jets over 20 Tons is advantageous.

Minimum 1,500 total flight hours.

Minimum 500 hours of Multi-Turbine time is essential.

Multi Crew experience is essential.

No existing medical conditions that would prevent flight duties.

Willingness to sign applicable training bonds.

No criminal record.

Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing.

Possession of own transport and a South African Driver’s License.

South African citizenship with valid proof of identity and a valid RSA Passport.

Willingness to work irregular hours on a roster.

Detailed knowledge of National Aviation regulations, including SACAA and ICAO.

Knowledge of Doc 8186 is essential.

Understanding of Commercial and Airline Transport Pilots licensing content.
