Aviation Simulator Instructor
Role Overview
The Aviation Simulator Instructor plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all mandated pilot training on flydubai's advanced simulators adheres strictly to GCAA regulatory requirements and flydubai's rigorous training programme standards. This position is central to developing and maintaining the highest levels of pilot proficiency and operational safety within the airline.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive pilot training sessions within flydubai's state-of-the-art simulators, crucial for the issuance, revalidation, and renewal of Instrument Ratings. This includes specialized training for pilots who hold or have previously held an Instrument Rating on the 737 and have completed the Instrument Rating Instructor course.
- Assesses current training procedures against the Operations Manual and flydubai’s operating policies, providing critical feedback to management on identified discrepancies and areas for continuous improvement.
- Offers expert oversight and guidance to Flight Crew regarding any updates to operational procedures, ensuring full understanding and compliance.
- Proposes and implements improvements to operating procedures, with a strong focus on enhancing efficiency and elevating aviation safety standards across all operations.
- Ensures timely completion, proper administration, and diligent filing of all required training documentation with relevant teams.
- Provides constructive feedback on pilot performance to management, addressing identified performance issues and recommending appropriate remedial actions.
- Systematically evaluates and documents pilot performance throughout training, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all progress reports.
- Develops and recommends customized remedial training programs tailored to meet individual pilot development needs.
- Conducts and meticulously documents results of mandated simulator training and flight training device sessions, as precisely outlined in the relevant OMD1.
- Collaborates effectively with the recruitment team, offering crucial support in selecting competent, skilled, and knowledgeable pilots through comprehensive simulator evaluations and the completion of new hire assessment reports.
- Undertakes various office duties, special projects, and course development initiatives, including delivering ground school lectures when applicable, to robustly support the overall pilot training programme.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- A minimum of 2000 hours total flight time experience, with at least 1500 hours accumulated as a pilot on multi-pilot aircraft.
- Minimum of 7-9 years of relevant aviation experience, preferably in a training or instructional capacity.

Information Security Responsibility (ISR)
The incumbent is required to adhere strictly to the company's Information Security (ISR) policies, promptly reporting any identified weaknesses or incidents to the Line Manager or Information Security team. This role mandates the completion of all required ISR awareness sessions and the consistent application of associated guidelines in day-to-day business operations.
