Flight Simulator Instructor
Job Summary
The Flight Simulator Instructor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of pilot proficiency by delivering mandated pilot training on flydubai simulators. This position ensures all training adheres strictly to General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) regulations and flydubai's rigorous training programme standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivers comprehensive pilot training sessions within flydubai's state-of-the-art simulators, covering the issuance, revalidation, and renewal of Instrument Ratings, particularly for pilots holding or previously holding an IR on the Boeing 737 and who have completed the Instrument Rating Instructor course.
- Conducts thorough assessments of training procedures against the Operations Manual and flydubai's operating policies, providing essential feedback to management on any identified discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Offers expert oversight and guidance to Flight Crew regarding updates to operating procedures, ensuring adherence to the latest standards.
- Proactively proposes enhancements to operating procedures aimed at optimizing efficiency and elevating safety standards across the fleet.
- Ensures timely completion, proper administration, and accurate filing of all mandatory training forms with relevant departments.
- Provides constructive feedback on pilot performance to management, addressing any performance concerns and collaborating on the implementation of effective remedial actions.
- Evaluates and meticulously documents pilots' performance throughout training, maintaining precise progress reports.
- Develops and recommends tailored remedial training programmes to address individual pilot training needs.
- Executes and documents the outcomes of required simulator training and flight training devices, as detailed in the pertinent OMD1 (Operations Manual Part D1).
- Actively supports the recruitment team by evaluating prospective pilots' competence in the simulator and completing all new hire assessment reports.
- Contributes to the pilot training programme through office duties, project management, course development, and potentially delivering ground school lectures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- A minimum of 2000 hours of total flight time experience, including at least 1500 hours as a pilot on multi-pilot aircraft.
- 7-9 years of professional aviation experience in a relevant capacity.

Information Security Responsibility (ISR) Compliance
The incumbent is responsible for reading and complying with the Company's ISR policies, diligently reporting any weaknesses or incidents to their Line Manager or the Information Security team. This role requires completion of all mandated ISR awareness sessions and adherence to associated guidelines in daily business operations.
