Flight Simulator Instructor
The Flight Simulator Instructor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of pilot proficiency and safety within the organization. This position is primarily responsible for conducting and overseeing all mandated pilot training on state-of-the-art simulators, strictly adhering to GCAA requirements and the company's rigorous training programme standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive pilot training sessions on flight simulators, crucial for the issuance, revalidation, and renewal of Instrument Ratings, particularly for pilots holding or having held an IR on the 737 and completing the Instrument Rating Instructor course.
- Evaluates existing training procedures against the Operations Manual and company operating policies, providing critical insights and recommendations to management for any identified discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Offers expert oversight and guidance to flight crew regarding updates to operating procedures, ensuring continuous adaptation and compliance.
- Proposes innovative improvements to operating procedures aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and elevating safety standards across all training activities.
- Ensures the timely and accurate completion of all required training forms, managing their proper administration and diligent filing with relevant departmental teams.
- Provides constructive feedback to management on pilot performance, addressing any identified performance issues and collaborating on the implementation of effective remedial actions.
- Systematically evaluates and meticulously documents pilots' performance during training modules, ensuring that all progress reports are accurately prepared and filed.
- Recommends and designs tailored remedial training programmes to effectively address the specific developmental needs of individual pilots.
- Carries out and thoroughly documents the outcomes of all mandated simulator training and flight training device sessions, as delineated in the pertinent OMD1 guidelines.
- Actively supports the recruitment team by providing assistance in the selection of highly competent, skilled, and knowledgeable pilots through comprehensive simulator evaluations and the meticulous completion of all new hire assessment reports.
- Undertakes various office duties, special projects, course development, and other essential tasks to robustly support the overall pilot training programme, which may include delivering ground school lectures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Minimum of 2000 hours of total flight time experience, including at least 1500 hours as a pilot on multi-pilot aircraft.
- 7-9 years of relevant professional experience.

Information Security Responsibilities (ISR)
The incumbent is expected to fully understand and comply with the Company's Information Security (ISR) policies, diligently reporting any observed weaknesses or incidents to their respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. This role also mandates the completion of all required ISR awareness sessions and adherence to associated guidelines in all day-to-day business operations.
