First Officer
As a First Officer, the successful candidate serves as the second-in-command, providing essential support to the Captain. This critical role involves executing assigned duties, adhering to instructions, and sharing responsibility for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the aircraft. The First Officer contributes significantly to the safety, security, and well-being of the crew, passengers, cargo, and equipment. Exemplifying integrity, leadership, and professionalism, the First Officer upholds the highest operational standards, making ethical and decisive decisions in both normal and contingency operations under the Captain’s ultimate authority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the Captain in maintaining ultimate responsibility and accountability for the safe operation of the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo.
- Ensures strict compliance with UAE GCAA and international aviation regulations, company policies and procedures, and industry standards.
- Performs delegated flight duties in compliance with company policies, aviation regulations, and safety standards.
- Fosters professionalism and collaboration among the crew through effective leadership and Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles.
- Upholds the company’s commitment to safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Executes all duties with precision and professionalism, adhering to operational manuals, SOPs, and policies.
- Monitors aircraft systems, performance, and navigation, promptly addressing irregularities and ensuring adherence to the flight plan.
- Identifies, documents, and reports safety incidents, SOP breaches, or operational irregularities through appropriate channels.
- Proactively highlights opportunities to enhance safety and efficiency, ensuring accurate and comprehensive reports.
- Conducts pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks to ensure the serviceability of emergency systems and flight deck equipment.
- Shares responsibility for the aircraft, passengers, crew, and operations from boarding to shut down.
- Oversees activities such as fueling and loading, immediately alerting the Commander to any irregularities.
- Supports the Captain in managing the crew from reporting for duty through post-flight duties.
- Assists the Captain, who holds full accountability for all operational decisions and the overall conduct of the flight.
- Represents the company as a brand ambassador, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and appearance.
- Supports the Captain in ensuring the crew consistently upholds the company corporate and brand image.
- Operates all flight duties in alignment with commercial objectives, expertly balancing operational efficiency with an unwavering commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
- Stays informed on the latest UAE GCAA and international aviation legislation, operational standards, and industry best practices.
- Proactively integrates new knowledge to ensure full legal compliance and alignment with evolving industry trends and standards.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Fluent in English (ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or above)
- Minimum 2,500 hours total flying time.
- Minimum 1,000 hours on modern (EFIS), multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft over 10 tonnes operating weight (PIC time preferable).
- Minimum 1,500 hours Multi-Pilot Aircraft (MPA) flying time.
- Unrestricted Class 1 Pilot Medical Certificate from an ICAO Compliant State.
- ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).

Information Security Responsibilities (ISR):
The First Officer is required to read and comply with the Company's ISR policies, diligently reporting any weaknesses or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. This includes completing all required ISR awareness sessions and following associated guidelines in day-to-day business operations.
