Pilot Job Description
Job Purpose
The Pilot is responsible for conducting assigned flights in strict accordance with the detailed provisions of the Company Operational Manual and in compliance with all relevant Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations. This role demands ensuring the ultimate safety, security, and efficiency of all operated flights. Key responsibilities include providing essential support and guidance to flight and cabin crew, effectively handling emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios, and maintaining complete control over the flight to ensure successful performance and uphold a positive corporate image. The Pilot holds ultimate responsibility for the aircraft during assigned flights, prioritizing Safety, Efficiency, and Passenger comfort above all else.
Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements
- Minimum of 750 flying hours on A320 Family aircraft. An Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is preferred.
- Possession of valid licenses, a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate, and a valid Instrument Rating (IR).
- Valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) certification at or above Level 4.
- Holding an appropriate Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or the preferred ATPL.
- Ability to successfully pass technical, psychometric, and Medical Fitness check-up assessments for Pilots in accordance with Company and CAA standards.
- Essential: Training in safety and emergency response. A formal qualification in this area is an advantage.
- Advantageous: Basic training in airport procedures, security procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Advantageous: Crew Resource Management (CRM) training.
- Advantageous: Familiarity with IATA principles and standards relating to security.
- Proficiency in aircraft systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, and web search.
- Excellent command of the English language, encompassing strong written and verbal communication skills, technical report writing, and presentation abilities.
- Experience with a low-cost airline is highly desirable but not mandatory.
