FlightSafety International seeks a Flight Crew Training Instructor (FCTI) to provide ground-based academic training for U.S. Air Force and Allied Nation KC-46 Pilots, Aeromedical students, and Maintenance Engine Run students. This role involves instruction in classrooms and various training devices, including the KC-46 aircraft, while monitoring and documenting student progress. The position is located at FlightSafety International, a leader in professional aviation training.
The Flight Crew Training Instructor (FCTI) is responsible for delivering comprehensive ground-based academic training for KC-46 aircrew, aeromedical, and maintenance personnel. Instruction will be conducted in classrooms and utilize advanced training devices such as the Pilot Part Task Trainer (PTTP), Boom Operator Part Task Trainer (PTTB), Fuselage Trainer (FuT), and Weapon Systems Trainer (WST), as well as the KC-46 aircraft itself. Key responsibilities include conducting initial, upgrade, and requalification training, managing maintenance engine run courses, and providing ground-based training for other KC-46 crew members. The FCTI will also conduct briefings, debriefings, and student counseling to foster technical proficiency, analyze student performance data, and serve as a KC-46 Aircraft Systems Subject Matter Expert.
The role requires the ability to sit, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds is necessary. The position demands close and distance vision with the ability to adjust focus. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level.
