About the Role

The Rotorcraft Flight Instructor is responsible for providing exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction, adhering to all aviation regulations and FlightSafety's established training principles. Key responsibilities include conducting rotorcraft pilot training for various client needs, developing and preparing training materials, evaluating trainee progress, maintaining accurate training records, identifying and addressing client training issues, and ensuring instructor qualifications are up-to-date with regulatory requirements.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The role requires the ability to use hands to manipulate controls, reach, talk, and hear. Employees may be required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific physical demands include the ability to exert pressure and manipulate rudder controls with feet, reach and manipulate simulator controls, enter and exit the simulator, move between instructional stations, and exit a malfunctioning simulator. Vision abilities include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The role involves regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds, and frequently up to 25 pounds. The work environment includes proximity to moving mechanical parts, and occasional exposure to high, precarious places, outdoor weather conditions, wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, extreme temperatures, electrical shock, radiation, and vibration.
