FlightSafety International seeks a qualified Flight Instructor to deliver comprehensive ground and simulator flight instruction at their facility. This role involves training aviation professionals from various backgrounds, adhering to strict aviation regulations and FlightSafety's established training methodologies.
The Flight Instructor is responsible for providing exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction, ensuring adherence to aviation regulations and FlightSafety's training principles. This includes conducting pilot ground and simulator training for clients enrolled in core, specialty, or enrichment courses. The instructor will develop and prepare training materials, evaluate trainee progress, and maintain accurate training records. Identifying and addressing client training issues promptly is also a key responsibility, alongside maintaining personal instructor qualifications as per regulatory requirements.
This role requires the ability to utilize hands, arms, and legs for object manipulation, reaching, and control operation. The instructor will regularly stand, walk, and sit, with the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception are necessary. The position involves regular lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds, and frequently up to 25 pounds. The work environment includes frequent proximity to moving mechanical parts, potential work in high or precarious places, and exposure to various environmental conditions, including weather, fumes, chemicals, and potential electrical hazards.
