FlightSafety International is seeking a dedicated Flight Instructor to deliver comprehensive ground and simulator flight instruction at its facilities in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves training pilots, technicians, and other aviation professionals across a variety of courses, ensuring adherence to aviation regulations and company training principles.
The Flight Instructor is responsible for conducting pilot ground and simulator training for clients enrolled in core, specialty, or enrichment training programs. This includes developing and preparing training materials, evaluating trainee progress, and maintaining accurate training records. The position requires identifying and addressing client training needs, and ensuring instructor qualifications are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements.
The role requires the ability to use hands to operate controls, reach, and communicate. Employees may be required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use their sense of taste or smell. Specific physical requirements include manipulating simulator controls with feet and hands, entering and exiting the simulator device, and moving between workstations. Vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are essential. The role involves lifting and moving objects up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 25 pounds frequently. Work may be performed near moving mechanical parts, in high or precarious places, and in various environmental conditions including exposure to fumes, chemicals, extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, and vibration. Employees must be able to exit a malfunctioning simulator in a severely pitched attitude.
