Position Overview:

First Officers at Flair Airlines play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Boeing 737 fleet. Reporting to the Chief Pilot and accountable to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) during each duty period, successful candidates will uphold the highest professional standards, demonstrating effective leadership, excellent communication, and strong problem-solving skills. This role involves collaborative teamwork to enhance the passenger experience while operating across our extensive route network spanning Canada, the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean. We are actively recruiting permanent, full-time First Officers with varying levels of experience to meet the growing demands of our expanding operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections of aircraft and systems to maintain optimal safety standards.
• Operate aircraft safely and professionally, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
• Monitor weather conditions and maintain effective communication with air traffic control.
• Collaborate with the PIC in flight management and crew coordination.
• Review flight plans meticulously, ensuring compliance with Transport Canada regulations.
• Proactively identify and address potential issues to maintain on-time performance.
• Promptly inform crew and passengers of any turbulence, adverse weather, or operational factors affecting the flight.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with maintenance, SOCC, and dispatch personnel as directed by the PIC.
• Remain current on aircraft advancements and equipment upgrades.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 1,000 hours total fixed-wing flight time.
• Unrestricted travel authorization to and from the United States.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
• Valid Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot’s License (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot License with completed IATRA or SAMRA/SARON exams.
• Valid Category 1 medical certificate.
• Proficiency in English and/or French.
• Satisfactory background and criminal record checks.

Compensation and Benefits:

* Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $136,800.00 (as per the Collective Agreement).
* Minimum monthly guarantee of 85 flying credits, with overtime eligibility after 88 hours.
* Comprehensive benefits package including disability insurance, dental insurance, employer-provided pension, extended medical insurance, staff travel program, and monthly allowances for cellular service and dry cleaning.
* Eligibility for company-matched pension plan.
* 12-13 guaranteed days off per month, averaging 15 days off per month.

Location and Start Date:

* Primary base: Toronto (YYZ). Secondary bases: Vancouver (YVR), Calgary (YYC), Edmonton (YEG), Kelowna (YKF). While other base locations may become available, priority will be given to applicants for the Toronto base. Applicants from other locations are encouraged to apply.
