Minimum Requirements for Application
Prospective Captains must meet the following mandatory flight experience and licensing criteria:
- Minimum 4,500 hours accumulated on multi-crew airplanes.
- Minimum 1,500 total Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours.
- Minimum 500 PIC hours specifically on the B787 aircraft type.
- Minimum 1,500 total hours flown on the B787 aircraft type.
- Possession of a valid EASA, FAA, or ICAO Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a current Instrument Rating (IR) endorsed for the applied aircraft type.
- Valid ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher.
- Possession of a current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Preference is given to candidates whose last A320 PIC flight occurred within the last 12 months.
