The Opportunity: First Officer

Executive Jet Management (Europe) Limited is actively seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and customer-focused First Officer to augment its esteemed flight crew team. Based in the South of England, with a preference for London, the successful candidate will assume a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and comfortable operation of executive flights. This position demands a professional who embodies the company’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence and superior passenger experience, capable of providing outstanding support to the Pilot in Command and confidently assuming command responsibilities if necessitated by unforeseen circumstances.

Key Responsibilities

The First Officer will be entrusted with a comprehensive range of vital duties, which include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Pilot in Command with the overall safe and efficient operation of all flights.
  • Assuming command of the aircraft in the event of the Pilot in Command's incapacitation, thereby ensuring the uninterrupted continuity of safe flight operations.
  • Executing all assigned duties diligently as directed by the Commander, maintaining strict adherence to the aircraft Flight Manual, company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all applicable aviation regulatory frameworks.
  • Meticulously confirming the aircraft's safe navigation, continuously verifying its geographical position and ensuring safe terrain clearance.
  • Conducting all operational procedures and checklists with precision, in strict accordance with the Airplane Flight Manual, relevant Operations Manuals, and the Commander's specific directives.
  • Promptly reporting any occurrences or incidents to the Commander that have endangered, or could potentially endanger, flight safety.
  • Immediately reporting to the Commander any fault, failure, malfunction, or defect perceived to affect the aircraft's airworthiness or safe operation.
  • Consistently delivering the highest possible standard of customer service to all passengers, significantly contributing to overall customer satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications and Experience

Prospective candidates for this critical First Officer role are expected to possess the following essential qualifications and experience:

  • An EASA Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with current and appropriate type ratings.
  • A valid European Union Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • A minimum of 1500 hours total flight time, with a maximum of 2000 hours total flight time. Candidates demonstrating at least 1000 hours of total turbine flight time may be considered for fewer overall hours.
  • Extensive experience in European flight operations.
  • A clear and verifiable record of excellent performance in previous professional aviation roles.
  • Fluency in English (preferably ICAO Level 6 proficiency).
  • The inherent ability to be based in the South of England.

Preferred Attributes

The ideal candidate will also distinguish themselves by demonstrating the following advantageous skills and experiences:

  • A current type-rating on the GL6000 aircraft.
  • A strong background in commercial aviation, particularly within EUOPS and/or AIROPS operational environments.
  • Prior military or airline training.
  • Proficiency in two or more European languages.
