Position Overview
Executive Jet Management is actively recruiting qualified candidates for the role of Pilot in Command (PIC) operating a Praetor 600 aircraft. This position is based in White Plains, NY (KHPN) and supports a three-pilot crew structure, complemented by a dedicated maintenance technician. The aircraft is flown approximately 300 hours per year under Part 91 operations and will join a well-established flight department that currently operates two Gulfstream 600 aircraft. While a Type Rating for the Praetor 600 is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement for consideration. Please note that this role is not commutable, and the successful candidate must reside within a two-hour radius of KHPN.
The Pilot in Command holds ultimate accountability for ensuring that all flights are conducted in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. This includes adherence to all company policies and regulatory requirements, while simultaneously providing an outstanding service experience for passengers.
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Verifies crewing and trip assignments comply with all company and regulatory mandates.
- Completes necessary flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each flight assignment.
- Utilizes the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres strictly to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborates with relevant company personnel. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Conducts all aircraft pre-flight inspections, including verification of the aircraft's maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness. Documents all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitors and oversees the completion of all aircraft ground servicing requirements, such as fueling and fluid replenishment, in strict accordance with SOPs.
- Performs passenger briefings in compliance with company policy and regulations. Delivers the highest standard of customer service and accommodates any special needs of passengers, including those with physical challenges.
- Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to facilitate clear and timely communication with crew members and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides high-quality service to aircraft owners and passengers, actively identifying opportunities to enhance the overall EJM service experience. Investigates and resolves service deviations promptly and effectively.
- Collaborates seamlessly with fellow crew members and EJM internal teams to ensure a consistent and superior service experience for all owners and passengers. Manages and resolves conflicts and challenges in an acceptable and professional manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains all regulatory and company-mandated training and recency of experience requirements.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and promptly reports any safety concerns or non-compliance issues through the designated channels.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualifications (KSAOs)
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
- Possession of an FAA Type Rating in an applicable fleet is required.
- Must be capable of performing all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument Time: 300 hours
- Jet Flight Time: 500 hours
Base Salary Range
Small/Mid/Supermid Cabin Aircraft: $260,000 - $315,000
