Pilot in Command (PIC) - Corporate/Business Aviation
The Pilot in Command (PIC) holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of company aircraft. This role requires strict adherence to all company policies and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers. The PIC acts as the final authority on all operational matters during assigned flights.
Key Responsibilities
- Exercises final authority and responsibility for the safe conduct of all flights.
- Ensures full compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Operates aircraft efficiently, prioritizing safety and passenger comfort.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and provides outstanding service to all passengers.
Qualifications
Years of Experience
- Possesses 4-6 years of professional aviation experience.
- Previous experience in corporate or business aviation environments is highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)
- Holds a current and valid FAA Type Rating specific to the applicable fleet.
- Demonstrated ability to perform all essential functions of the Pilot in Command position.
- Exhibits strong decision-making capabilities under pressure, with an unwavering commitment to safety.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Flight Time Requirements
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land: 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 2000 hours
- Pilot in Command Multi-Engine Land (PIC MEL) Time: 500 hours
- Instrument Time: 300 hours
- Jet Time: 500 hours
