Purpose of Position
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is actively recruiting experienced pilots for an Embraer Legacy aircraft operation based at Miami Opa-Locka Executive Airport (KOPF). This specific operation is supported by a professional crew of three pilots, complemented by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, all operating under Part 135 regulations.
The Pilot in Command (PIC) bears the ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all flight operations. In this critical leadership capacity, the PIC ensures strict adherence to all company policies and prevailing regulatory mandates while simultaneously delivering an outstanding service experience to passengers.

Key Responsibilities
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Verify that all crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Execute comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assigned flight.
- Employ the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to conduct essential briefings and proactively mitigate operational risks.
- Adhere rigorously to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate effectively with all relevant company personnel. Assume responsibilities as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Conduct all aircraft pre-flight inspections, including a thorough assessment of the aircraft's maintenance status, to confirm mission readiness. Document all aircraft discrepancies in strict accordance with company SOPs.
- Oversee and ensure the completion of all aircraft ground servicing tasks, such as fueling, oil, and oxygen replenishment, in compliance with SOPs.
- Perform passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulatory standards. Provide the highest caliber of customer service, attending to any special needs of passengers, including those with physical challenges.
- Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to facilitate clear and timely communication with crew members and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency flight conditions.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provide superior service to aircraft owners and passengers, actively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Proactively investigate and resolve any service deviations.
- Collaborate seamlessly with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistent and superior service experience for owners and passengers. Effectively resolve conflicts and challenges in a professional and acceptable manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Sustain all regulatory and company-mandated training and recency of experience requirements.
- Comply with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and report any safety concerns or instances of non-compliance through the designated channels.

Qualifications
Certifications and Licenses:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
Experience:
- 4-6 years of aviation experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
- FAA Type Rating for the EMB 145.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument Flight Time: 300 hours
- Jet Flight Time: 500 hours
