Pilot in Command - Challenger 650
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a subsidiary of NetJets and a leader in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Challenger 650 aircraft based at Manassas, VA (KHEF). This is a two-pilot account supported by a Maintenance Technician, operating under Part 135 regulations.
As the PIC, the incumbent will assume ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This role demands a commitment to upholding all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience for passengers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Adherence to company and regulatory crewing and trip assignment requirements.
- Completion of thorough flight planning, performance calculations, weight and balance tasks for each flight.
- Implementation of the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and effective coordination with company personnel.
- Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Performing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including inspection of maintenance status, to ensure mission capability. Accurate recording of any aircraft discrepancies according to company SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all aircraft ground servicing procedures, including fueling, oil, and oxygen, in accordance with SOPs.
- Delivering comprehensive passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations, providing the highest level of customer service and meeting any special needs of passengers.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with crew and support personnel during all operational phases, including normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
- Delivering Exceptional Service:
- Providing quality service to aircraft owners and passengers, actively identifying and addressing opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Proactively investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure consistent service delivery to owners and passengers. Resolving conflicts and challenges constructively.
- Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Staying current with all regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Strict adherence to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting safety concerns or non-compliance issues through appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience in aviation, with a preference for experience in corporate/business aviation.
- Licenses/Certifications: FAA Type Rating in applicable fleet.
- Essential Functions: Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
