Pilot in Command or Second in Command - Challenger 350
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a leading provider of aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services, seeks qualified candidates for a Challenger 350 aircraft based in Teterboro, New Jersey. This is a four-pilot account supported by a dedicated maintenance technician, operating under Part 135 and 91 regulations. Preference is given to candidates residing within a two-hour drive of Teterboro Airport (TEB).
Purpose of Position:
The Pilot in Command (PIC) is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC adheres to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience for passengers.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:
- Complies with all company and regulatory requirements regarding crewing and trip assignments.
- Completes flight planning, performance, weight and balance tasks for each assignment, as required.
- Employs Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as needed.
- Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including assessing maintenance status, to ensure aircraft mission capability. Records any discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Ensures all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and completed in accordance with SOPs.
- Conducts passenger briefings as per company policy and regulations, providing the highest level of customer service and accommodating any special needs (e.g., physically challenged passengers).
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively and efficiently with crew and support personnel during all operational scenarios.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides high-quality service to owners and passengers while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Regularly investigates and resolves service deviations.
- Collaborates with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistent service experience for owners and passengers. Effectively resolves conflicts and challenges.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Adheres to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs):
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- Valid ATP is required.
- FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet is required.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
Pilot in Command:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Second in Command:
- Total flight time: 2500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 500 hours
- Instrument: 150 hours
- Jet: 250 hours
- Turbine Engine: 100 hours
- Time in Type: 50 hours
Base Salary Range:
$110,000 - $432,000
