Pilot in Command - Global 6000V Aircraft
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) to join its team. EJM, a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, is a subsidiary of NetJets, the world's largest private aviation infrastructure. This position is based at Bradley International Airport (KBDL) in Connecticut and involves piloting a Global 6000V aircraft within a six-pilot rotation. The aircraft operates under Part 91 regulations, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant.
Purpose of Position:
The PIC is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This includes adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering a superior service experience to passengers.
Key Responsibilities:
Safe Flight Operations:
- Ensure crew assignments and trip itineraries comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough flight planning, including performance calculations, weight and balance, and adherence to Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology.
- Implement company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate with internal personnel as needed.
- Serve as Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator, as per company policy.
- Perform all pre-flight tasks, including verifying aircraft maintenance status and recording any discrepancies in accordance with SOPs.
- Monitor and ensure completion of all ground servicing requirements (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) according to SOPs.
- Conduct comprehensive passenger briefings as per company policy and regulations, delivering exceptional customer service and accommodating any special needs (e.g., physically challenged passengers).
- Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly and effectively with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Exceptional Service:
- Provide high-quality service to aircraft owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and diligently resolving any service deviations.
- Collaborate with crew members and EJM partners to ensure a consistent and exceptional service experience for owners and passengers, effectively resolving any conflicts or challenges.
Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintain up-to-date training and recency of experience as mandated by regulations and company policy.
- Comply with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and report any safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Extensive experience in corporate/business aviation is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in international flight operations is required.
- Current and typed in the Bombardier BD700 aircraft.
- Holds a valid FAA Type Rating for the assigned aircraft fleet.
- Ability to effectively perform all essential functions of the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2,000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation:
Base salary range: $110,000 - $432,000
