Role Overview: Accelerated Command Pilot

This is an exceptional and unique career pathway designed for experienced Senior First Officers. Successful candidates will join Emirates as a First Officer on either the Boeing or Airbus fleet, benefiting from an enhanced salary package and a clearly defined accelerated command upgrade scenario. Upon meeting rigorous performance standards and successfully completing an assessment process and upgrade course, pilots will be eligible for a swift transition to Captain, commanding Emirates' state-of-the-art aircraft.

Remuneration

The minimum base salary for an Accelerated Command pilot position is AED 31,640 (approximately USD 8,621) per month. This figure excludes additional flight pay, which significantly enhances the overall compensation package.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for the Emirates Accelerated Command program, applicants must possess the following mandatory qualifications and experience:

  • A minimum of 5,000 hours total flying time (excluding P3, rotary, and single/multi-engine piston aircraft).
  • A minimum of 2,000 hours command time on fixed-wing, multi-crew commercial jet aircraft with an MTOW (Maximum Take-Off Weight) greater than 50 tonnes.
  • Applicants must currently be flying as a Captain and demonstrate a minimum of 1,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) on either Boeing or Airbus aircraft.
  • A minimum of 150 hours on type within the last 12 months.
  • Possession of a valid ICAO ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) with a corresponding Authority Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Demonstrated ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or above.
