Position Overview: Direct Entry Captain

This role places the successful candidate in the most senior command position within the flight deck, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft.

Essential Role Requirements

To be considered for a Direct Entry Captain position with Emirates, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of 7,000 hours of total flying time (excluding time in P3, rotary-wing, or single/multi-engine piston aircraft).
• For A380 positions: Current flying experience as an Airbus Fly-By-Wire (FBW) Captain with a minimum of 3,000 hours of Pilot-In-Command (PIC) time on Airbus FBW aircraft.
• For A350 positions: A minimum of 3,000 hours of command time on a multi-crew, multi-engine commercial jet aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 50 tonnes. A minimum of 1,500 of these hours must be as a Captain on an Airbus FBW aircraft.
• A minimum of 150 flight hours on the relevant type within the preceding 12 months.
• A valid ICAO Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with a corresponding Authority Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• ICAO English language proficiency level of 5 or above.
