Position: Direct Entry Captain

This senior leadership position places the Captain in ultimate command of the aircraft, ensuring the highest standards of safety, operational efficiency, and customer service.

Role Requirements

To qualify as an Emirates Airbus Captain, candidates must possess the following essential requirements:

• A minimum of 7,000 hours of total flying time (excluding P3, rotary, and single/multi-engine piston aircraft experience).
• For the Airbus A380 Fleet:
  • Current experience flying as an Airbus FBW (Fly-by-Wire) Wide Body Captain.
  • A minimum of 3,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) on Airbus FBW Wide Body aircraft.
• For the Airbus A350 Fleet:
  • A minimum of 3,000 hours command time on a multi-crew, multi-engine commercial jet aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 50 tonnes.
  • A minimum of 1,500 hours must be as a Captain on an Airbus FBW Wide Body aircraft.
• A minimum of 150 hours flown in the past 12 months on type.
• A valid ICAO ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence) with a corresponding Authority Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or above.
