Description of the Position

The Direct Entry Captain assumes the most senior position of command, responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of Emirates' A380 or A350 aircraft on international routes.

Minimum Salary

• Captain: AED 40,100 (approximately USD 10,926) – (Note: This figure does not include flight pay.)

Role Requirements

To be considered for the prestigious role of an Emirates Airbus Direct Entry Captain, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Minimum 7,000 hours total flying time (excluding P3, rotary, and single/multi-engine piston aircraft).
• For A380 Captains: Must currently be flying as an Airbus FBW Wide Body Captain and possess a minimum of 3,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) on Airbus FBW Wide Body aircraft.
• For A350 Captains: Must have a minimum of 3,000 hours command time on a multi-crew, multi-engine commercial jet aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 50 tonnes. A minimum of 1,500 hours must be as a Captain on an Airbus FBW Wide Body aircraft.
• Minimum 150 hours on type within the last 12 months.
• A valid ICAO ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) with a corresponding Authority Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or above.
