Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the role of an Emirates Airbus Direct Entry Captain, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum 7,000 hours total flying time (excluding P3, rotary and single/multi-engine piston aircraft).
• For A380 Operations: Must currently be flying as an Airbus FBW Wide Body Captain with a minimum of 3,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) on an Airbus FBW Wide Body aircraft.
• For A350 Operations: Must have a minimum of 3,000 hours command time on a multi-crew, multi-engine commercial jet aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) of >50T. A minimum of 1,500 hours must be as a Captain on an Airbus FBW Wide Body aircraft.
• Minimum 150 hours in the past 12 months on type.
• Possession of a valid ICAO ATPL with a matching Authority Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• Demonstrated ICAO English proficiency level 5 or above.
