Job Summary: Direct Entry Captain

Emirates is actively recruiting highly motivated and experienced Airbus Rated Direct Entry Captains to command its state-of-the-art A380 and upcoming A350 fleets. Role Requirements

To be considered for the esteemed position of a Direct Entry Airbus Captain, prospective candidates must meet the following stringent criteria:

  • A minimum of 7,000 hours total flying time (excluding P3, rotary, and single/multi-engine piston aircraft).
  • A valid ICAO Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a matching Authority Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or above.
  • A minimum of 150 hours flown in the preceding 12 months on type.

Specific Aircraft Type Requirements:

  • For Airbus A380 Captains:
    • Must currently be flying as an Airbus Fly-By-Wire (FBW) Wide Body Captain.
    • A minimum of 3,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on Airbus FBW Wide Body aircraft.
  • For Airbus A350 Captains:
    • A minimum of 3,000 hours command time on a multi-crew, multi-engine commercial jet aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 50 tonnes.
    • A minimum of 1,500 hours must be as a Captain on an Airbus FBW Wide Body aircraft.
