Position Description:

  • A Direct Entry Captain assumes the most senior position in command of the aircraft, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of flights.

Minimum Salary:

Captain = AED 40,100 (USD 10,926) - Note: This amount does not include flight pay.

Role Requirements:

Prospective Airbus Captains must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 7000 hours total flying time (excluding P3, rotary, and single/multi-engine piston aircraft).
  • For A380: Must currently be flying as an Airbus FBW Wide Body Captain with a minimum of 3000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on Airbus FBW Wide Body aircraft.
  • For A350: Must have a minimum of 3000 hours command time on a multi-crew, multi-engine commercial jet aircraft with an MTOW of >50T. A minimum of 1500 hours must be as a Captain on an Airbus FBW Wide Body aircraft.
  • Minimum 150 hours on the type in the past 12 months.
  • A valid ICAO ATPL license with a matching Authority Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • ICAO English level 5 or above.
