Fixed-Wing King Air 200 Pilot - Medical Air Transport
A leading air medical transport provider is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Fixed-Wing King Air 200 Pilot to join its dedicated team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This critical role involves providing essential medical air transportation services, operating King Air 200 aircraft on a rotational schedule of seven days on and seven days off, encompassing both day and night missions. The successful candidate will contribute to an operational environment deeply committed to the highest safety standards for all crew members and patients.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual Salary Range: $106,939 - $117,633
- Sign-On Bonus: A $15,000 sign-on bonus is awarded upon successful completion of training and check-ride.
- Retention Bonus: A $40,000 retention bonus is provided after a six-month waiting period, as part of a three-year program.
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $3,000 in relocation assistance is available.
- Crew Housing: Company-paid crew housing is provided.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Candidates for the Fixed-Wing King Air 200 Pilot position must possess the following:
- Commercial Airplane Multi-Engine Land (C-AMEL) Certificate is required.
- Willingness and ability to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate within five years of employment.
- A valid and unexpired driver's license.
- A current FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate.
- Flight Hour Requirements:
- 2,500 Total Flight Hours
- 1,000 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Hours
- 500 Cross-Country Hours
- 500 Multi-Engine Hours
- 100 Night Hours
- 75 Instrument Hours (including 50 actual instrument hours)
Key Responsibilities
The Fixed-Wing King Air 200 Pilot will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Safely transporting patients and medical teams to and from designated locations and facilities.
- Ensuring the meticulous readiness of aircraft for flight dispatches, adhering to all Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and company requirements, including aircraft cleanliness duties.
- Maintaining accurate company and regulatory documentation and record-keeping, encompassing shift logs, load manifests, and other pertinent data.
- Effectively communicating and collaborating with air and ground dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partner organizations.
- Providing comprehensive shift change information to transitioning pilots and teams, meticulously following protocols for recording company change board details.
- Maintaining all required certifications and actively participating in ongoing ground and air training programs.
Working Conditions
The pilot will be required to:
- Operate in various outside weather conditions.
- Perform duties such as deicing the aircraft, assisting with aircraft towing, maneuvering the aircraft in and out of the hangar, and preparing the aircraft for flight.
Physical Demands
The role necessitates the ability to perform the following physical activities:
- Standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Lifting up to 70 pounds.
- Possessing specific vision abilities, including close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
