Role Summary:
DC Aviation Al Futtaim is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Captain for the Challenger 650 aircraft. The successful candidate will possess the organizational prowess and flexible disposition necessary to deliver outstanding results in a high-pressure environment. Exceptional customer relationship skills, cultural awareness, and a willingness to operate within a flexible duty roster are essential attributes for integration into the DCAF team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exercise final authority concerning the control and safe operation of the aircraft (Nautical Authority).
- Maintain safety, order, and discipline aboard the aircraft (Board Authority).
- Implement necessary measures under emergency circumstances (Emergency Authority).
- Assume full responsibility for the safety of the aircraft, its load, and all persons on board from the moment the aircraft is prepared for taxi until it comes to rest and engines are shut down.
- Organize the flight deck crew's duties in accordance with Multi Crew Concept principles, designating Pilot Flying (PF) and Pilot Not Flying (PNF) roles.
- Ensure strict compliance with all required checklists and standard operating procedures.
- Prioritize decisions with safety as the paramount consideration, while also considering economy, passenger comfort, and punctuality.
- Maintain the requisite knowledge and qualifications pertinent to all routes and airports utilized.
- Possess thorough familiarity with all relevant documentation and information.
- Oversee the conduct of pre-flight and weather briefings, meticulously checking and evaluating weather conditions.
- Ensure strict adherence to maximum allowable flight and duty time limitations.
- Verify that all required aircraft documents (ship's papers) are on board and current.
- Promptly report any findings or irregularities encountered during operations.
- Certify and sign for the aircraft's airworthiness, required instrumentation and equipment, completion of maintenance requirements, correct mass and balance, and compliance with dangerous goods regulations.
- Retain the authority to exclude persons or items from transportation when deemed necessary for safety or security.
- Fulfill all flight operational duties as stipulated in the Operations Manuals (OM-A and OM-B).
- Actively contribute to the professional development and knowledge expansion of the flight crew.
- Conduct comprehensive briefings for the cabin crew.
- Bear responsibility for the welfare and care of the assigned crew members.
- Ensure the entire crew's interactions with passengers, as well as their attire and public appearance, uphold and enhance the reputation and trust in DC Aviation Al Futtaim.
- Foster positive working relationships within the crew, ensure all members receive necessary information, and incorporate co-worker opinions into decision-making processes.
- Delegate tasks to other cockpit and cabin crew members when appropriate and feasible.
- Report crew members who unequivocally violate directives after corrective comments, informing the respective Crew Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- Hold a valid GCAA or ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with Instrument Rating (IR). A GCAA license is preferred.
- Possess a current Class Rating for the Challenger 650 aircraft.
- Hold a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Accumulate a minimum of 3000 hours Pilot-In-Command (PIC) time on transport category aircraft, including at least 1500 hours on the Challenger 650 type.
- Demonstrate a high level of knowledge regarding international regulations governing commercial aircraft operations over land and water.
- Exhibit a very good command of the English language (spoken and written).
